“Talakadu shall be a barren land, Malangi a whirlpool, and the kings of Mysore shall have no heirs.”
It was a curse—one that shaped destinies.
To this day, Talakadu lies buried in sand, Malangi swirls with deadly whirlpools, and the Wodeyar dynasty faced struggles with male succession, often adopting heirs. A coincidence? Or the echo of a vow kept by the river?
